The Faces of Margraten of 2018
From 2 to 6 May 2018, The Faces of Margraten were once again on display at the American cemetery in Margraten. That year, there were no fewer than 5,800 faces. But it wasn’t just the faces that were on display during those days. For the first time, visitors could listen to the audio stories Voices of Margraten. These audio stories, created by the Laudio Foundation, offer a deeper layer to the soldiers’ stories. More than 20,000 people visited the tribute, which was opened on 2 May in the presence of Governor Bovens and American Ambassador Hoekstra, among others.
The after movie of 2018
We gave a face to thousands of soldiers. We gave a voice to others. Many came to he Netherlands American Cemetery in Margraten to remember. This is how the Netherlands expressed its gratitude towards its liberators. This was The Faces of Margraten in 2018.
