The Faces of Margraten 2020

During the Faces of Freedom commemorative weekend on 29, 30 and 31 May, the focus was on the names, faces and historical stories of the soldiers commemorated at the American cemetery in Margraten. For the first time, Freedom Talks were also held, in which various national and international speakers gave a contemporary interpretation of the meaning of freedom. The weekend was a coronavirus-proof alternative to De Gezichten van Margraten (The Faces of Margraten), a biennial initiative that normally takes place at the American cemetery in Margraten.
